Kate Morley has been dancing since she was 9 years old,

taking her first ballet lesson with Ericka Goss through her home school group. She went on to attend the Academy of Performing Arts in Alma Michigan. Kate earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Alma College, and is a current MFA candidate at Saint Mary’s College of California for Dance, Creative Practice, with an anticipated graduation date of June 2023.

With over ten years of experience, Kate has taught recreational studio classes in genres including ballet, jazz, and lyrical, with a personal affinity towards modern and contemporary. While she loves the studio life, and teaching the youngest generation of movers, she is excited to continue her scholarly journey and pursue a career in higher education after the completion of her MFA.

Kate is eager to step into the studio to teach the next generation of dance educators, and hopes to continue her research and dive further into the connection between the bodymind and the neurodivergent brain.

As a queer artist and educator, I strive to create welcoming spaces of healing and transformation.

Dance, as a universal language, crosses barriers and unites us through love, joy, and communal art. In combination with other mediums, it can provide a powerful, somatic experience for both the mover and the witness.

My aesthetic lives in the stability of the earth, the geometry of the skeleton, and the sensuality of the flesh. I use dance to highlight hidden truths, widen the mysterious possibilities, and affirm earthly identities.
